Did You Know?

O.O

No.

No I did not. And having this shown to me was kind of a slap in the face. There are so many new facts that i got out of it that it is ridiculous. I mean really? India has more honors students than America has kids? There country is smaller than ours by how much? Not only does this show how much they put into education, but their population is insanely huge. Not that that matters, but that was basically one of the things i thought immediately after seeing that fact. Another that I simply have to state is that I refuse to have 10-14 jobs by the time I'm 38. That, in my opinion, is really sad. I do realize that it probably wont be my fault either. By the time I do get around to getting a real job, our economy wont be that much better than it is now. But that still shouldn't result in that drastic of a job "get-and-lose" cycle. -sigh- It is facts like this that make me afraid of my future. Everyone says that we should follow our dreams, and while it will be hard if we persevere everything will work out and this basically says no. Stop. None of that matter because you will lose your dream job, and haha it doesn't stop there either. The job you settled for? Yea, that sad little desk job that you didn't even want in the first place but is better than nothing? Yea -POOF- there it goes too. Oh no, don't cry. You are only gonna lose the next 8-12 too. But hey, when that 15th one comes you're set for sure. No sweat. Right?

...can't wait.

Now I'll just got through my fave. facts and give my views on them:

1 out of 8 couples married last year met online: Score one for e-Harmony. I really can't believe that it is that hard to go out and meet people. I mean, the internet is meant to help you find things like cars...yes i did just relate to finding a spouse to finding a car. It isn't that different especially with how people fake the information.

If Myspace were a county it would be the 5th largest in the world: full of pedophiles and children pretending they are 18 and older so that they can meet actual older people who turn out to be the previously mentioned pedos. Not only would this be the 5th largest country but it would be #1 in crime rate (in terms of stolen identities and stolen CHILDREN)

There are 31 billion searches on Google every month: To be honest, I'm not surprised by that at all. Like myself alone would probably take up a percent of that. Google is used for absolutely EVERYTHING. Just ask yourself, how many times have you come across a coufounding question and just said/thought, "Google it." That has practically become a catch phrase.
P.S. I especially enjoyed the abbreviation B.G. like B.C. That basically means that Google is officially related to religion and i would have to agree that it is a religion all its own.

And just a note on texting. I use it everyday, i dont even call people anymore. I can't even talk on the phone without feeling a bit awkward, i don't know whether to laugh or be ashamed though. I'm more inclined to laugh if any of you are wondering.

For students starting a 4 year technical degree, half of what they learn in their first year of study will be obsolete by their third year: On a serious note, that is a bit exasperating. It makes learning so mush more difficult. It also scares me how fast the world is going. I personally think that we need to slow down before we messup horribly. On a lighter less serious note: HAHAHAHAHA this only proves my point that the things we learn are useless and it makes no sense to learn it. Bum bum: 1 school: 0

Another small post on illegal downloads: Yes, i know its bad. Yes I know that it shouldnt happen. But everyone friggin' does it. I'm sure you, whoever you are, have at one point wanted a cd really bad, had no money and fell to the temptation to get it for free. Heck, i bet the authorities even do it. But people rant and rave about it and i dont get it. The ranters and ravers do it too, so all i have to say is that if you do it and speak out against it then i officially hate, yes HATE, you. Because you are a hypocrite, and that means you are basically one of the worst liars out there. And above all else, I hate liars. But if you accept that yes, you know you are doing the wrong thing and you don't try to assert misleading authority over another to try and cover it up, then you have my love.

I'll give this thing a conclusion cause i have the time. Basically, I am not sure if this video scares me or not. I mean, the world is moving too fast, and i don't think we are capable of handling the strain. We are going to ruin ourselves with this pace we seemed to have set, and not only that but we arent even content with this pace. We have to insist on going faster. But no, we need to stop rest, sit on the couch and pet the cat (or dog) sitting in/on our lap and watch an extra funny episode of Family Guy. And that is what you will find me doing after I'm done with this, and probably when you are reading this. So peace out everyone, and remember slow down. Speed will kill you if there's too much.
