Motivation in chemistry?
Hmmmm, I really don't know. I want good grades obviously. But for some of the things in class that we learn I actually want to know it. I mean, it's always good to know stuff right? I'll grow up and impress someone with the correct ratio to make water pipette rockets... haha. I mean, I'll probaby forget most of this stuff by the end of highschool. So, I guess right now its all about grades. I need good ones to...you know...shove it in my friends' faces ;). Also, my parents are all about "A"s. It's probably because of them that I stress out over getting "A"s so much. I mean they think that those kinds of grades are everything. So if I don't want to be grounded than I need good grades. To be honest that is motivation enough. I am interested in some stuff though. Like stoichiometry cause i actually get it. If there is even a little chance of me understanding something I'm usually motivated to actually try cause I get interested. So that is basically the extent of my motivation.

Science and Politics
Mr.G,
Science and politics is quite a broad subject. I know from reading the blogs of others that you are getting lectured/yelled at by the broadness of the topic. I am going to do neither. I am just simply going to do this to the best of my ability. The reason why I'm going to try is that so many others complain and moan and groan and their sheer numbers on the "I'm gonna complain and not do anything" is annoying and I'm going to refuse to be a part of it. For today at least. :) Here is the one key note though, I know next to nothing about politics and little more about science. Not a complaint, just a fact. That's just a heads up.
First of all: Stem Cell Research
This has been an ongoing argument for, like, ever. Well, not really but w.e. Basically republicans were all Destruction of embryo's=NO. Scientists want to continue researching but considering they aren't being given proper sample sizes then there is an issue. Look I think that if it harms the embryo than no don't do it, BUT if there is a way to get their samples than more power to them. They are just trying to help the world. Why stop them?
Second: In general
It seems to me that Republicans in general have issues with the way science is done. I don't mean to single them out, but i was looking on the internet for other things to write about and found "The Republican War on Science" by Chris Mooney. I mean if books are getting published about it than...well it has to be obvious to a lot of people. I mean I understand if when science is hurting people it should be stopped but if it isn't than it doesnt have to be. The problem is that you could pick that statement apart so easily its ridiculous. I myself thought of at least 5 diff. problems with that statement while writing it but I don't know how else to express my thoughts.

Nuclear Power
To be honest I really don't know if we should switch to the use of Nuclear power or not. The actual waste of the process of nuclear power is pretty hazardous. I assume that even though we have trouble containing it or issues of space it wont actually affect me or my children. Heck if not for this class I probably would have died without even hearing about it. And since the power we use now is basically killing the planet off now it would be better to prolong our life. So fine, i guess. We should switch to nuclear power. It should help us out in the "going green" dept.

Tucker was right
Ha as usual. Anyways she said i need to update my blog and she is right. Unfortunately I have no annoyances for you. I'm sorry to disappoint. I have been to busy relaxing to actually be bothered by annoyances. It's a good thing. To not be annoyed I mean. I'm home, on the computer, alone (well with the cats but they aren't human no matter how much i love them.) and its great. No one to piss me off, NOTHING of the sort. It's amazing. Which leads to this fact:
I DON"T WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL!
Oh i know what you're thinking. You're a teenager you aren't supposed to want to go back to school. But here is the thing. I don't mind school itself. The classes the homework. To be completely honest that while it is tedious its ok for me. But, there is tons of stress that school brings. School, geez its like real life crammed into a building. Teachers are your boss, para pros are the nosy police that report you to the boss for insignificant things cause they feel the need to put you in your place. Passing periods=traffic on the streets. The SAC/blocks? your home where the family (your friends in this metaphor. No matter what you think of them.) is. Principle is the dang CEO of w.e company you work for. Its annoying and break brings you to your life away from this artificial real life. It sucks and i don't want to go back.
New topic, agonizing over break ending is not how i want to spend the end of my break.
I was watching Animal Cops Miami last night. Ok, why do people not understand that animals are furry humans. Why do they deserve any less care hmm? They need to eat, they need to drink water, they need shelter, heck they need love too. I don't understand where this miscommunication is. If you can't provide that 1) you can't have a pet 2) find someone who can. Where on earth is it taught to be ok to just take a dog and leave it on the street to fend for itself. That is the equivalent to leaving a human child on the streets. Could you honestly take your daughter and put her on the streets. Hmm? Could you handle that? Knowing KNOWING that if she died by starvation or getting hit by a car that its all your fault? NO NO YOU COULDNT. Unless you are heartless and if thats the case, just go away. Commit suicide because you honest to god don't deserve to live. The correct thing to do would be to give your daughter to a family that will love and care for her. Same with an animal. ITS NOT ANY DIFFERENT. There are so many people that will take it in. If you cant find one there are shelters. C'mon people don't be lazy. This is a LIFE at stake. Yes, animals are living beings incase you missed the fact that they breathe, feel joy, feel fear, feel in general. -Sigh- I really wish that all those people that neglect or abuse their pets could just feel a fraction of what they do.
